The air most contaminated with the world. And the cleanest

Linfen (China) and the end Grim (Tasmania)

Linfen, China

Do not ask me how they have found out it or which the procedure has been used to determine the places of the world with the most contaminated and purest air. Perhaps it is a question of affirmations of doubtful scientific value, but the case is that, as I read in The cleanest it pleases on earthand the dirtiest, the above mentioned places are the following ones:

The place most contaminated with the world seems to be Linfen, a city to 780 km to the Southwest of Peking, placed in a mining basin of coal of the province of Shanxi. The Linfen air was considered by the World Bank last year as that of worse quality of the planet. More polucionados of the world appears along with Chernobyl in the list of Blacksmith Institute of 10 places and it heads the list of the most contaminated cities made by the proper authorities for the protection of the environment of China.

In the World this article was published a few months ago: The city where it never dawns.

And in YouTube there is a video that is a better glance with the put mask:

On the contrary, the end Grim, in the north-western end of Tasmania, is considered to be the place with the cleaner air and the water, owed largely to the strong winds that blow in the seas of the south.

Geld Grim, Tasmania

The video that I connect to them is not rolled in Cape Grim, but in Bay of Fires, in oriental side of the island, but I bet that the air and the water are the same way clean. Enjoy these so relaxing scenes:

Then they mention to me in which of two places his holidays prefer to go to happen.

Seemed:
Air of the seas of the south
An Icelandic volcano killed to thousands of … Egyptians
Mirna, the biggest hole
Apology of the desert

In Denmark and all these northerly countries that, they go more anticipated than we, when you buy a cocacola bottle (or of any refreshment of any mark), you pay a few ´20 cents more for the bottle of plastic (or of beer).
Once consumed, you return it it empties to the supermarket and they return you this money. Or, that if you do not recycle, you lose money.
I wonder why that nose does here. Is it that the government is conpinchado with the manufacturers of plastic or that?
I feel a criminal whenever I throw to the garbage a botellaza of 2 liters of soda …

Elisa: this was what was done in Spain in the 50s and 60s: the bottles were of crystal and once consumed they were delivered and were returning you the money, or were giving you another full bottle and you were paying only the content. It seems that we go for behind …

That thing about to return the packing is a wasting time, containers put themselves I publish where it settles to recycle. In Spain we recycle everything, and it is not necessary to go to the north.

It hears nicely, not if you know them 3Rs IT REDUCES, REUTILIZA AND RECYCLES, I believe that there will not be another solution than about returning to the time of the grandparents, because although it retrains, we use prime matters, what is important is to reduce the consumption, and to re-use, recycling would be the last option. And that thing about that in Spain recycles everything is a lie, even they lack very much for that. It is necessary to see the statistical data and to compare them with other countries, and very important to know as the collection of solid residues works, because there are great the people who does not separate to recycle.

    CONTAMINATION OF THE OROYA PERU

Blacksmith Institute the year 2006 and 2007 they have realized investigations on the cities most contaminated with the world and it came to the conclusion that the Oroya finds between 10 cities most contaminated with the world, Graffiti in 2008 and Blacksmith Institute and Cruz Verde of Switzerland 21-10-2008 consider it to be one of 5 cities most contaminated also of the world; they have been very benevolent; in accordance with my investigations of several years that I have spreading, the Oroya is most contaminated of Peru, Latin America and also of the world and every time it is contaminated more: lead in blood in children of the Oroya Antigua 53.7 ug/dl (DIGESA 1999) pregnant women 39.49 ug/dl (YOU JOIN 2000), children after 19.06 is born ug/dl, puérperas 319 ug/100 grams of afterbirth (Castro 2003) and 39 ug/dl in workpeople (Doe Run 2003). Recognized lead maximum in blood 10 ug/dl; at present the Academy of Paediatrics of USA 0 considers to be an authorized maximum ug / dl.
13-8-08, the concentration of the dioxide of sulfur (SO2) came to his historical record: 27,000mg/m3; authorized maximum 13 mg/m3.
When the Oroya was in Centromin hands it was eliminating only for the chimney 167.500 meters high in average per day and tons: sulfur dioxide 1000, lead 2500, arsenic 2500, cadmium 80, material particulado 50 and this way successively, more 24,000 of poisonous gases product of the incomplete combustion of the coal, without counting what is eliminated by the industrial incinerator and by 94 small chimneys that 15,000 calculates; in whole 45,000 tons for day (PAMA The Metallurgical Complex of the Oroya, 1996); another investigation assures that only for the highest chimney 119¨917,440 tons at a 8.7 meters speed per second (Chuquimantari C. Yauli-La Oroya Minería and Cities Company Pág. 57, 1992)
Doe Run sends every 3 months the concentrations of the metals weighed to the Department of Energy and Mines and with this information Cederstav it has demonstrated that the contamination has increased; for example the sulfur dioxide has risen to close to 300 % for increase of the production (Cerderstav. The Oroya Espera, 2002)
The Inter-American Association of the Ambience says that the environmental quality of the Oroya has deteriorated severely since Doe Run took charge and the same company declares that the concentrations of the gases of heavy metals one has increased in the air: lead 1160 %, cadmium 1990 % and arsenic 606 % (Portugal C and Cols. The Smokes of Doe Run, 2003)

we should take care of our planet because
we do not realize that in the habitamos
and if we damage it we get damaged ourselves.
and here a friend says that now for the planet
    and tomorrow for us. :)

Reply to the Comment of Mister Victor Belaunde about the Contamination of the Oroya Peru
    Dr. Godofredo Arauzo

The Blacksmith visited the Oroya in May, 2008. The remarks on the achievements on the contamination of this complex as there affirms The Inter-American Association of Defense of the Ambience (AIDA) they are DECEITFUL, because his affirmations lack foundation; it is a summary of the affirmations presented by Doe Run. AIDA supports that the environmental quality, the fulfillment or the protection grade of the human health of the Oroya cannot be evaluated being based on the level of investment of the company, but it must be done on the base of the current information of the quality of the air, level of lead in the blood and other environmental indicators and of health, which the report does not consider. (1).
He criticizes that Blacksmith bases on information limited to evaluate; for example the level of the sulfur in the area.La Blacksmith affirms that the concentration of the day average SO2.en is 5.000 ug/m3 in the Oroya (authorized maximum 13 ug/m3 CDC 2006); but in the day in which this institution was in the Oroya, the concentration of the SO2 was 0. (1).
Finally AIDA concludes that the report Blacksmith reduces the efforts to reach really the remediation and cleanliness of Oroya (1).
AIDA in another comment expresses that the quality of the air of the Oroya has deteriorated seriously since the metallurgical complex went on to hands of Doe Run. The same Doe Run showed that the concentration of the lead raised 1.163 %, arsenic 606 % and cadmium 1990 % (2). The concentrations of lead, cadmium, arsenic, dioxide of sulfur and others have increased substantially from 1997 (3), especially for the increase of the production; for example the production of the lead increased 25 % (2). The settlers of the Oroya are contaminated by a poisonous cocktail (4). It is a living laboratory.
The concentration of the cadmium (Cd) increased dramatically since Doe Run acquired the complex. In 1999 the concentration of the Cd in the Trade union was 0.22 ug/m3. (allowed 0.0055 ug/m3); it exceeded in more than 40 times the limit and stopped informing to the Department of Energy and Mines MEM the concentration of the Cd from 2000; of the same way the concentration of the arsenic increased significantly from 1997: Not monitorea material particulado of less than 2.5 microns (PM 2.5), which are the most dangerous for the human health; and they are mobilized easily. Ceverstav says that all the air quality parameters have deteriorated dramatically since Doe Run took charge of the complex (5).
The Agency of Environmental Protection of USA (Environment Protection Agency EPA) has compound 1467 registered more dangerous chemists and the dioxide of sulfur (SO2) is in the number 16 of danger (6). Ceverstav demonstrated with the same information that Doe Run sends to the MEM every 3 months that the elimination of the SO2 increased in more than 200 % since Doe Run took charge of the complex (5).
The Blacksmith affirms that the concentration of the SO2.en the Oroya in average is 5.000 ug/m3 (1); another author informs that the average is 934 ug/m3 (2); allowed 13 ug/m3 (7). The concentration in the day of the SO2 is more raised between 8 a.m. and 5 of the evening comes to a peak of 2100 ppb (allowed 280 ppb) (5), 13-8-08 the concentration of the SO2 came to a historical and horrifying limit: 27,000 ug/m3 (8-9-10); allowed 13 ug/m3 (7).
Other highly poisonous heavy metals and substance are not analyzed in the Oroya: vanadium, uranium, mercury, antimony, barium, selenium, chromium, cobalt, molybdenum, nickel and aluminum (2) The settlers of the Oroya not only are contaminated by the lead but also by cadmium, arsenic, dioxide of sulfur and antimony; that the antimony concentration is 30 times higher, than in USA (11). The Oroya is a living laboratory.
In the Oroya in the last 5 years there was no reduction of the concentration of the lead in the air; in Huanchan the concentration overcomes 15 times the authorized thing; in January and February, 2007 at the station of Huanchan the lead concentration exceeded 245 % to the authorized thing; in 2006, the cadmium concentration overcame 48 times to them allowed by the WHO (12): the production of the lead increased 25 % (2)
Doe Run only monitorea the punctual sources, not monitorea the poisonous agents that are eliminated neither by 95 small chimneys, nor the deposits of concentrates and arsenic of Shallows and Malpaso, how neither monitorea what eliminates the industrial incinerator and the plant of coke that was eliminating 23,800 cubic meters for day of poisonous gases (PAMA).
Doe Run was telling that the contamination of the Oroya had diminished; an assistant ran through him: the contamination has increased; the exhibitor answered: show a document of what he affirms, the assistant him answered: the best document that I have is my contaminated body. (4).
The emission of the SO2 of the Peruvian smeltings of copper is between the industrial sources of higher concentration of dioxide of sulfur of the world and are between most contaminated also of the world (13).
One is not provided with concrete information on the quality control systems in the capture of samples and analysis of the monitoring used by the company; the certainty does not have that the information brought to the MEM is precise, reliable and suitable; the information brought to the MEM it might be considered to be an approach and subvalued; they are not electronic or charted (5)
The contamination that the Oroya generates not only is circumscribed in this city but also contaminates to distant areas like Concepcion that is to 100 kilometers of the Oroya: The University of Missouri detected in the 0-6-year-old children lead in blood: 20-44 ug/dl in 72.22 %; 10-19ug/dl in 16.67 %; 45-69 ug/dl in 8.33 % and less than 10 ug/dl in 2.78 %.; or 97.22 % of the children of Concepcion is contaminated with more than 10 ug/dl of lead in blood; the allowed was 10 ug/dl; but at present the Academy of Paediatrics of USA says that the authorized maximum thing 0 is ug/dl of lead in blood (14) In rural area near to Oroya Cuchimachay; cadmium in the soil 59.26 ppm (allowed 3 ppm); in this place vegetable coverage (15) does not exist.
The metallurgical complex of the Oroya has 37 liquid tributaries that they eliminate to the river Mantaro; Doe Run only monitorea 12. The instructions of the Peruvian state on the monitoring of the water quality in the mining operations it establishes that all the liquid discharges to the surface waters must be monitoreadas regularly (5-16)
26-7-06 Doe Run (17) acquired the certificate ISO 14001:2004 and on March 11, 2008 they annul him for breaking the Peruvian environmental laws and for lacking measurements adapted to avoid the contamination (18).
Doe Run committed 2007, 4 environmental serious infractions and 1 simple way; the Peruvian state imposed a $ fine on him 724,500 (The Commerce 20-12-08)
In Huancayo to 120 kilometers of the Oroya jurisprudence exists. In 1942 the, judicial power orders to pay, to the Hill of Pasco Copper Corporation proprietor that one then of the Oroya, a $ indemnification 200,000 to Spleen Velarde, for damages caused to his cattle Jatunhuasi, for the smokes of Oroya (19).
The judicial power (20), the Constitutional Court (21) and the Inter-American Commission of Human rights (CIDH) (22) demanded from the Peruvian state to worry for the health of the city of the Oroya.
The Oroya contaminates the surface and deep waters, the soil, air and generates the acid rain (23) that produce damages to the human and animal health, to the ecosystems and biodiversity. mainly irreversible. The smokes of the Oroya it has affected 700.000 hectares about Oroya (2-24).
Doe Run will diminish his contamination in two circumstances: when it uses technology updated like the one that he practises in his central head office Herculaneum or diminishes the tons of refinement, The plant of Trial of Canada using technology cleans, it diminished 25 % the lead concentration in blood of the children and the concentration of metals weighed in the air diminished in more than 75 %; in the Step when it closed the smelting, the lead concentration in the air diminished immediately and the lead concentration in the blood of the children diminished in more than 75 %;. in Turret Mexico the government had to refine only 50 %, effects similar to the previous (5 being obtained. The damages he must pay Doe Run in accordance with the world consensus: THE ONE THAT CONTAMINATES PAY, position in validity in Europe from 1972 (25) and since it does it in Herculaneum; Oroya (2-27) can answer these actions in
On August 13, 2008 The Oroya has confirmed to be the city most contaminated with the world. This day the concentration of the SO2 in the Oroya came at a historical and horrifying level: as he says The Commerce (8); it came to 27,000 ug/m3; allowed 13 ug/m3 (7) the device that was measuring the concentration came to his maximum limit; possibly if the device had more space to measure, the number would have been higher (8-9-10), but. when the Blacksmith was of visit in the Oroya the concentration of the SO2 came to 0 (zero) (1). Other information more that they confirm that the Oroya is the city most contaminated with the planet earth: according to the report Mantaro Revive 2007: the arsenic (Expert) in the Oroya Antigua has a concentration in the soil of 4713 ppm allowed 12 ppm and the cadmium (Cd) 193.87 ppm allowed 1.4 ppm, according to Canadian Environmental Quality Guidelines (28).
