School of linguistics, logic and arts of the language
During 1994 and 1995 I had the privilege of being a pupil of the School of linguistics, logic and arts of the language, which director was Agustín García Calvo. The object of the School was the study of the language, the mathematics and the music and everything what they have in common.
In the old apartment of the number 19 of the street Hortaleza educations were given on a series of slightly practical “considered” matters and up to “useless“ to be unrolled as God is in charge in this society: Formal grammar, Lenguajes, Treatment of the infinity, Music, Prosody of the speech …
Next February 23, in the Circle of Fine arts of Madrid, an act will take place to remember what was that School much removed from any institution current and much more nearby to the original meaning of the Greek word eskolé, whose meaning was that of playtime or even of diversion, the opposite to a useful or productive activity.
“For me it is clear that every day I understand less how the things are, so that it is of supposing that, unless some rare phenomenon happens, since I will keep on understanding every day less how they are, that is to say, stopping behind because I cannot for less, because the reason orders it, leaving behind the names of the ideas with regard to the world, the reality, I myself, who could still have done to me in last times, and remaining with much less …” (Agustín García Calvo)
